Core Beliefs
The following are the core beliefs of Conroe Church based on the foundational truths taught in the bible. All of our teaching and ministry is rooted in and flows out of these biblical doctrines.
The Bible
We believe the Bible is the infallible Word of God and the authority for salvation and Christian living. I Timothy 3:16
One God
We believe there is one God, who has revealed Himself as our Father, in His Son Jesus Christ, and as the Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ is God manifested in flesh. He is both God and man. Deuteronomy 6:4; Ephesians 4:4-6; Colossians 2:9; I Timothy 3:16.
Salvation
We believe everyone has sinned and is in need of God. Salvation comes by grace through faith based on the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. Romans 3:23-25; 6:23; Acts 4:12, Ephesians 2:8-9
the Gospel
We believe the saving gospel is Jesus died for our sins, was buried, and rose again. In like manner we believe all must repent (die to sin), be baptized by immersion in the name of Jesus Christ (burial), and receive the gift of the Holy Spirit as evident by speaking in an unknown tongue (resurrection). I Corinthians 15:1-4; Acts 2:4, 37-39; Romans 6:3-4, Acts 2:38
Christian Lifestyle
We believe as Christians we should follow the example of Christ. We serve a holy God. I Peter 1:16 admonishes us to be holy because Christ is holy. Every aspect of a Christian’s life should be holy and separate from the world. The following scriptures encourage a life of separation: Philippians 4:1-8, II Corinthians 7:1, Deuteronomy 22:5, I Corinthians 3:16-17, Hebrews 12:14
Miracles
We believe the supernatural gifts of the Spirit including deliverance and healing are for the church today. I Corinthians 12:8-10, Mark 16: 17-18, Matthew 17:15-21, I Corinthians 12:9
Resurrection
We believe Jesus Christ is coming again to catch away His church. In the end will be the final resurrection and the final judgment. The righteous will inherit eternal life, and the unrighteous eternal death. John 3:15, John 14:2-3, I Thessalonians 4:16-17, I Corinthians 15:51-53, I Thessalonians 4:15-17, Revelation 20:10-15, II Corinthians 5:10-11, Hebrews 9:27, Matthew 25:30-41, 46
